Kanya Sumangala Yojana

The UP government has started this scheme for the girls of the state. Through the scheme, an amount of Rs 15000 will be provided by the government to the beneficiaries. This amount will be provided to eligible girls under 6 categories.
The state government has set a budget of Rs 1200 crore for this scheme. All girls falling below the poverty line of the state can avail the benefits of the scheme.
Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana has been started by the Uttar Pradesh government. Under this scheme, benefits will be provided to the girls of the state.

Eligibility for Uttar Pradesh Kanya Sumangala Yojana Application
•Parents of the girl and the boy should be natives of Uttar Pradesh.
•The annual income of the beneficiary’s family from all sources should be less than three lakhs.
•If a girl child has been adopted by a family, the family should have an adoption certificate.
•Only two girls from a family can get the benefit of this scheme.
•If a woman gives birth to a girl as her third child among twins after her second delivery, then in such a situation that girl child will also get the benefit of the scheme.
•If in the first delivery the first child of the woman is a girl and in the second delivery also both the twin children of the woman are girls, then only in this situation all three girls will get the benefit.

Fund distribution under the scheme
When will the category benefit amount be given?
First Category: On birth of a girl child (born on or after April 1, 2019) Rs 2,000
Second category: Rs 1,000 after vaccination when the girl child turns one year old
Third category: When the girl studies in class 1 Rs 2,000
Fourth Category: Rs 2,000 for appearing in class 6th
Fifth class: When the girl child enters class 9 Rs 3,000
Sixth Category: Class 12th girl student Rs 5,000
